ABOUT
Matt is a Vermont native who has worked in the bar and restaurant industry for over 20 years. Since starting his career bar backing and working his way up, Matt has functioned as a lead bartender and manager in the fine dining restaurants of The Hamptons, tropical bars in the USVI, and a beloved Brooklyn cocktail bar. He then lead the beverage program of a nationally recognized boozy movie theater concept in Brooklyn, conceptualized a National Beard Finalist cocktail bar in Vermont and ran the bars of a Beard Nominated farm to table restaurant, also in Vermont. Most recently he founded and ran the kitchen and bar at the beloved Broken Hearts restaurant in Fairlee, Vermont.
Matt has helped design and open several award winning bars and restaurants and has been recognized by Food Network, Time Out NY, Edible Magazine, Heritage Radio, GQ Magazine, Forbes Magazine, Daily Beast, Wine Enthusiast, Supercall, Seven Days, New England Ski Journal and others as a leading voice in the world of food, beverage and hospitality.
